Warning Signs of PMS

What is a sign of PMS (premenstrual syndrome)? What should you do to stop your PMS symptoms? You are at risk of having a sign of PMS if you are a healthy, menstruating woman aged 20 and 45, are experiencing significant emotional stress in your life and are sticking to bad nutritional habits. A sign of PMS is also likely if you experience side effects from birth controlpills, if you are having difficulty keeping your weight stable and if you do notexercise.

Finally, hormone imbalance will also lead to a sign of PMS. PMS can strike anywhere in the final two weeks of the menstrual cycle, most commonly seven to ten days before a period. PMSsymptoms include fatigue, headaches, lack of sexual activity, irritation, depression, bloating, swelling, weight gain, backaches, breast tenderness and sugar cravings.

To avoid at least many, or perhaps even any sign of PMS, maintain a good diet prior to and during PMS. Include lots of complex carbohydrates (whole wheat foods, fruits and veggies) and calcium (milk yogurt and dairy foods or 1000 microgram/day calcium supplements) and try magnesium, vitamin B6, vitamin E, evening primrose oil and other PMS-friendly other supplements. Take regular gentle exercise and get plenty of rest and sleep when your body lets you know you need it. Doing so will take care of almost any sign of
PMS.
