Is it true that when you are pregnant, you will not have pms symptoms?

Q: I got pregnant in Jan but miscarriaed at 6 weeks. What suprised me is during Jan, i do not have any pms symptom. For me, PMS symptom usually start after ovulation, i will have breast tenderness. but when i got pregnant that month, there was no breast tenderness after ovulation. Is it true that when you are pregnant, you will not have any pms symptom?

A: When you are pregnant your menstrual cycle stops, and so does PMS.
The usual drop in hormones, especially progesterone, that occurs after
ovulation does not occur. Instead, hormone levels rise. If they don't, you
may miscarry. I have seen women with low progesterone and/or low thyroid
levels have repeated miscarriages, and I monitor in all my patients,
especially if newly pregnant. In my book 8 Weeks to VIbrant Health I discuss these hormones in greater detail (available on my website www.cassmd.com)
